"Friendship Quilt" Created by choosing a variety of materials. Each student created a section of the "quilt" (February 2020).
Be a Germ Stopper "Germs" display created using coloured foam. The shapes were personally designed and decorated (March 2020).
Bird Feeders Students made bird feeders using toilet paper rolls, lard, string, and bird seed. Bird feeders were hung from trees outside the school yard (September 2019).
"Dinosaur Eggs" Science experiment -- made with biodegradable paint, ice, and salt. The salt melted the ice, allowing the paint to drip onto the melting ice, creating beautiful shapes and colours (February 2020).
Autumn Owls Students used fallen leaves to create the owl's wings (September 2019).
Thankful Handprint Tree Students' handprints were cut out and children added one things that they are thankful for (October 2019).
Marble Roll Using paper strips of varying shapes and sizes, students designed a marble roll on a paper plate. Students also tried using a cotton ball instead of a marble to see the difference (January 2020).
Cookie Decorating In time for Christmas, students put on their baking hats and got to work decorating gingerbread cookies. Much of the icing ended up in mouths before making it to the cookie. Yum! (December 2019). Tallon's Nan coordinated the activity and brought in all the supplies.
Terry Fox Run Elijah Smith Eagles participated in the Terry Fox Run (September 2019).
Northern Landscapes Each student created a diorama using a box. The 3D scenes were decorated using a variety of materials (January 2020).
Marble Run Students partnered up to make marble runs out of recycled materials and masking. The runs were set up on a large piece of cardboard. Lots of tape was used! (January 2020). (Madame Cooper seen here helping out)
Thank you, Ms. S! Saying thank you and good-bye to Ms. S. for being with us until Christmas break. Seen here, students giving Ms. S. a large card with drawings by each of us. We then went to our Forest School area and had a hot chocolate and cookie going-away party (December 2019).
Halloween Fun Making skeletons using marshmallows and toothpicks just in time for Halloween (October 2019).
That's the Morning when the Lights went out at Elijah The Rainbow Wing got together for colouring and reading while waiting for the power to return (January 9, 2020).
Pink Shirt Day (anti-bully day) Elijah Smith Eagles wore pink on February 26th to encourage everyone to practice kindness. We each made paper shirts and chose one anti-bully sentiment.
